Huff weet teamgenoot Muller nipt achter zich te houden in Monza

Chevrolet-coureur Rob Huff heeft een perfect WTCC-weekend op het circuit van Monza achter de rug. Na de zege in de eerste race schreef hij ook de tweede wedstrijd op zijn naam. De marge met zijn teamgenoot Yvan Muller was minimaal, het gat bedroeg bij de finish slechts 0,242 seconde.

De laatste trede op het podium was weggelegd voor Kristian Poulsen in de Engstler BMW. Tom Coronel deed lange tijd mee in het gevecht voor de derde positie, maar de Nederlander viel in de slotfase terug door een lekke rechter achterband. Hij werd uiteindelijk vijftiende.
