Tarquini en Dudukalo in 2012 weer in SEAT van Lukoil Racing

De line-up van Lukoil Racing bestaat in 2012 net als vorig jaar uit Gabriele Tarquini en Alexey Dudukalo. Tarquini was vorig seizoen de enige SEAT-coureur die een WTCC-race wist te winnen en geldt binnen de gelederen van Lukoil Racing als mentor voor Dudukalo, die vorig jaar debuteerde in het World Touring Car Championship.

Tarquini hoopt met een nieuwe 1,6 liter turbomotor in zijn SEAT Leon de Chevrolets in 2012 meer tegenstand te bieden. Ik ben blij dat Lukoil Racing me aangesteld heeft als een van de coureurs en ik ben trots dat ze me als opleider voor de volgende Russische generatie gebruiken. Ik ben benieuwd naar de komende jaargang. We racen opnieuw met de oude Leon, maar ik verwacht veel van de nieuwe SEAT-motor. Ik geloof dat ons pakket danig versterkt is en dat we in de positie zijn om te vechten met Chevrolet.
