Honda treedt later dit jaar met Civic toe tot WTCC

Honda start dit jaar met een World Touring Car Championship-project, met de Civic. De Japanse autofabrikant stapt dit seizoen in de toerwagenklasse, al is nog niet duidelijk vanaf welk evenement precies. De races in Suzuka en Macau staan in elk geval op het programma.

Honda-directeur Takanobu Ito: We hebben besloten om met de Europese Civic toe te treden tot het World Touring Car Championship. We zullen een compleet nieuwe motor ontwikkelen voor dit project en we zijn allemaal opgewonden over deze uitdaging.
