Alain Menu in Algarve met speciale Michel Vaillant-livery

Chevrolet-coureur Alain Menu rijdt dit weekend in een andere livery dan gewend. Voor het World Touring Car Championship-weekend op het circuit van Portimao in de Algarve draagt zijn Cruze eenmalig de kleuren en naam van strip-held Michel Vaillant.

Het is het resultaat van een samenwerking tussen Chevrolet en Studio Graton, wiens oprichter Jean in de jaren vijftig van de vorige eeuw het karakter Michel Vaillant. Menu: "Ik ben blij en opgewonden, want Michel Vaillant maakte een groot deel van mijn jeugd uit. Als kind en tiener las ik al zijn strips, dromend dat ik zelf ooit in de Formule 1 zou racen. Michel Vaillant nadoen is iets dat ik nooit had verwacht."
