Yokohama tot en met 2015 bandenleverancier in WTCC

Bandenfabrikant Yokohama heeft het contract als bandenleverancier voor het World Touring Car Championship verlengd tot eind 2015. De verbintenis tussen de toerwagenklasse en de Japanse firma liep na dit seizoen af. Aan de samenwerking, die al sinds 2006 stand houdt, is nog eens drie jaar vastgeplakt.

WTCC-manager Marcello Lotti: "Het enige dat ik kan zeggen is gefeliciteerd Yokohama! Sinds ze instapten als bandenleverancier in 2006 hebben ze ons enorm gesteund. Ten eerste als competente en betrouwbare partner, maar ook met een significante bijdrage om ons kampioenschap wereldwijd te promoten. Daardoor hebben we evenementen op kunnen bouwen in belangrijke landen als China, Amerika en Japan. Dat ze ook de komende drie jaar aan onze zijde staan is van onschatbare waarde."
