Fredy Barth voegt zich voor China en Macau weer bij SUNRED

Fredy Barth keert in Sjanghai terug op de WTCC-grid. De Zwitser stapt in de Seat Leon voor de races in China en Macau. Met die laatste plek heeft Barth een haat-liefde verhouding, nadat zijn auto vorig jaar vlam vatte en hij door rookinhalatie in het ziekenhuis belandde.

Barth: "Macau is een unieke locatie, die nu gemengde gevoelens teweeg brengt. Ik hou van de uitdaging, maar ik ben er nog nooit gefinisht. Na het ongeluk van vorig jaar heb ik nog wel een rekening te vereffenen met Macau. Een rentree in het WTCC was een doel en dat heb ik nu bereikt, dat doet me deugd. Ik ga mijn best doen en ik weet dat de Seat Leon competitief is, dus ik ben benieuwd waartoe we in staat zijn."
