RML reserveert Chevrolets voor Muller en Chilton

Het team van RML verdedigt komend seizoen haar titel in het World Touring Car Championship met twee Chevrolets, bestuurd door Yvan Muller en Tom Chilton. De renstal moet het voor het eerst doen zonder fabriekssteun van de Amerikaanse autofabrikant.

RML-directeur Ray Mallock: "Onze partnerschap met Chevrolet heeft zijn einde bereikt en hoewel we trots zijn op wat we samen gepresteerd hebben, is het tijd om verder te gaan. We benaderen dit als een compleet nieuwe uitdaging. De competitie in het WTCC is fors en we onderschatten de omvang van deze uitdaging zeker niet, helemaal gezien het geringe aantal testdagen."

Yvan Muller: "Het vuur brandt hevig in mij voor het nieuwe seizoen en ik ben zeer gemotiveerd om voor de titel te gaan. Ik zit al vier jaar bij RML en met plezier zet ik die samenwerking voort. Ik heb veel respect voor dit team en geloof in hun capaciteiten om een winnende auto op de baan te brengen."
