NIKA Racing schrijft zich in met een Chevrolet Cruze

Het team van NIKA Racing heeft zich bij de organisatie van het World Touring Car Championship aangemeld voor een volledig seizoen WTCC. De Zweedse renstal heeft één Chevrolet Cruze tot zijn beschikking. Wie die gaat besturen is nog onbekend. Vorig jaar nam NIKA Racing deel aan de seizoensopening op Monza en was Rickard Rydell de coureur.

Teambaas Nicklas Karlsson: "Dit is een significante dag in de geschiedenis van NIKA Racing. We werken al jaren achter de schermen richting een campagne in het WTCC en die droom wordt nu werkelijkheid. Na twee succesvolle jaren in het Scandinavian Touring Car Championship waren we klaar voor deze sprong. We zijn ons volledig bewust van de zware uitdaging die ons te wachten staat en bescheiden betreden we deze serie, maar het doel is absoluut om onze naam te vestigen voor een lange toekomst op dit niveau."
