Pepe Oriola verruilt Seat voor Chevrolet

Pepe Oriola neemt de resterende raceweekenden van dit World Touring Car Championship-seizoen deel met een Chevrolet. De Spanjaard was tot nu toe actief met een Seat, maar hij kon de mogelijkheid om voor Chevrolet te racen niet laten liggen.

Oriola: "We hebben een goed aanbod ontvangen van RML om een van hun auto's te besturen en ik heb besloten om het te accepteren. Ik ben Seat dankbaar voor de mogelijkheid om een professionele loopbaan in de racerij op te bouwen. Ik had graag bij ze gebleven, maar ze hebben de knoop over de toekomst nog niet doorgehakt. Ik moet ook aan mezelf denken en kon dit voorstel van Chevrolet niet afslaan."
