Citroën presenteert C-Elysée voor de WTCC-campagne

Citroën treedt volgend jaar toe tot het World Touring Car Championship en doet dat met de C-Elysée. Dat heeft het Franse merk bekend gemaakt. De wagen beleefde een paar dagen geleden zijn debuut op het testcircuit. Het eerste publieke optreden staat voor september bij de Frankfurt International Motor Show gepland.

Frederic Banzet, directeur van Citroën: "De keuze voor de C-Elysée als basis voor onze WTCC-bolide reflecteert onze vastberadenheid om via autosport onze commerciële ontwikkeling te ondersteunen. Met evenementen in Latijns-Amerika, Marokko, China en Rusland is de WTCC-kalender met recht globaal te noemen en het is een waar voordeel om de C-Elysée, een sleutelspeler in onze groei, mee te nemen in deze toer langs grote menigten van enthousiaste racefans."
